Well its official. Summer has officially started and I know this because yesterday I attended my first ( and I hope many) summer BBQ’s.
The BBQ signals the start of the summer season, it is the proverbial cutting of a ribbon, or smashing a magnum of champagne against the bow of a ship, it screams to the world”WE ARE OPEN” for good times and sunshine. Bring. The. Noise.
A lazy, hazy Sunday afternoon was spent relaxing in the leafy backyard of friends at Brittas Bay Wicklow. As you all know Dave is a talented creative type, and through him we have met some other creative photography types. In fact, together, those creative photography types have even created a special subgroup called “Cahootery“. Their aim? good times and photography. ”Its a vibe” thing. :-)
The sun was out and we basked in its warmth and glow, we haven’t seen that golden orb for near on 11months now so you can imagine our excitement when it did actually come out. After a few cold drinks, the BBQ was fired up, meat (and vegan) burgers were cooked after which the obligatory water fight ensued. It was a mellow day enjoying everything that Summer is essentially about. Food, Friends and water Fights….:-)
Obviously the day was well documented having so many cameras in one setting, The beautiful images below were captured by official “Cahooters”, Paul Mongan from Moathill Photography and Dave McClelland from David McClelland Photography.
